DENNIS GUFFEY

Hello, I’m Dennis Guffey, and multi-medium American artist born and raised in the Southwest.  While I was in high school, I was introduced to perspective art drawing in high school.  With this new information, I took the cartoons I had been drawing since childhood and began to make them more and more realistic.  I practiced muscle mass, depth and tone with the comic books “Conan, the Barbarian”. As I practiced, I began to work with animals and their muscle tone, depth and shadows.

I focused on the eyes of my subjects and got depth there.  I believe if the eyes are right, the whole picture will come together.  In recent years I have branched out into acrylic painting and colored pencils, staying with my belief about getting the eyes right first.

When you visit my shop, you will find artwork back into the beginning of my art career.  Each piece was drawn with great care and perception that takes hours and days to create. We have Western art, Wildlife art, Pencil art, Acrylic Paintings and colored pencil originals.

You will find me and my beautiful wife Heidi doing art shows across the Southwest.  We love to travel and find new beauty in each place we go.
